Andaman and Nicobar Islands

Dear Sanjib,
I am Bikash Deb from Hyderabad. I have seen your comments on Rahul Bose's Blog at intentblog. i had been to Andamans during set.2004 and fell in love with the place. I felt that the place needs development of ecotourism. I am in touch of some people there involved in tourism. I understand post Tsunami the tourism industry there is severely hit.
I would like to know more from you
 

hi Bikash happy to get ur comment and also to know that u r concerned about Andamans .. my reply about tourism would shock u ... earlier after tsunami it was thought that tourism industry is finished in Andaman.. but a miracle happened ... the tsunami had left a Silver lining … suddenly nearly after eight nine months … tourists are again coming back to Andaman … many people now know about Andaman and they want to come and see these islands…. Tsunami has given a wide publicity to these islands …though ..most were negative…but publicity is always publicity ……I know many guys in tourism industry … who became unemployed after tsunami .. but know they are back in job… though the inflow of tourists is still limited but, this is an welcome beginning… at least the industry has shown some signs of revival.. and for this the GoI is investing crores of rupees.. … u r right that tourism industry is badly hit.. and it would take a long time to get 1 lakh / year tourists again… but now as LTC facility is there till November and flight fares have gone down… lots of advertisements are placed in TV and news paper….. I feel the industry would be revived fully sooner or later…. Lets keep our finger crossed buddy…. I am posting a news of tourism very soon….keep visiting this page bye…
